Question One
With which character(s) are you applying to The Bit Players? (For each, please indicate the character's name, race, class, level, general spec (words, not numbers please), and if it is your main or an alt)

Maelshyv, level 80, Draenei Shaman (resto/enhance) Main
Shimbul, level 80, Gnome Warlock (demo) Alt (possibly main in cata)

Question Two
If you are invited to join, we ask that you come aboard with any raiding toons you have on this server. If you play any other characters on Lothar, who are they? (There is no need to list banker and/or mule characters here).

I have a few random alts but none that I really raid on at this point. I am kind of an altaholic though so who knows if more will spawn (or be tricked into transferring and faction changed like a certain shaman character).

Have you read this site's "Recruitment" page and the "Welcome! (read this first)" sticky post on the "Public Access" forum?

27/m/Philly and happily taken so no ideas!

If you know any current Bit Players, who do you know and in what context? (e.g., in real life, from other games, from other guilds, etc.)

Eeek... ok this is tricky because there are a few.

Bridei (IRL) -> He is one of the main people you can blame for luring me onto Lothar. He often beats me if I don't do a good job in WoW. If I am not doing well enough, please don't let him know. Also, in my 10 man ICC group.

Simbelmyne (IRL) -> Another to blame. She doesn't beat me (except on healing meters with renew being so amazing with the icc buff). In my 10 man group as well.

Kogure (IG) -> I deal with grouping with him every week for my 10 man. I even trusted him to give me advice on my new DK spec and then freaked him out by whispering him on my DK without telling him it was me.

Andeldorman (IG) -> He likes to stalk me in the game and show up in groups I am in. He used to be in my 10 man ICC group so I have experienced the joys of his "tanking".

Balton, Kala, Suenami, Jausina, Drinkycrow, and a few more I can't recall at this hour (IRL) -> They were all forced to eat my horrid baked goods, pretend to be werewolves together, and run from my Banshee.

Phoenix Gate (IG) -> Recently started raiding with the Phoenix Gate group in ICC 25. So they have had to put up with me for a few weeks.

I'm sure there are more too, but long day at work makes my brain go bye.

Is a friend, spouse, partner in crime, or anyone else applying to The Bit Players along with you? If so, who? (If you would prefer that your applications be considered together, meaning that both would be accepted or both would be declined at the same time, please let us know here.)

Question Seven
Why do you think The Bit Players, in particular, is the right guild for you? (Your answer to this question is very important.)

Having met, grouped, and partied (not in the grouped sense) with Bits for a while now; I have realized that I enjoy the balance that the guild has between raiding and being "a social guild". I really enjoy the sense of camaraderie that the guild seems to have. It would be nice to be a part of that.

Question Eight
What do you think of the loot rules posted on this site, especially the section entitled "Making Good Judgment Calls"?

I enjoy the common sense and flexibility that the loot rules suggest. Working as a team (especially in terms of gearing up) is absolutely more fun than greed. It seems to be all part of the greater "work together" atmosphere the guild appears to be about.

Question Nine
Does playful adult chat bother you? (This question is here because we aren't prudes and guild chat sometimes veers into "adult" territory. Rest assured, however, that anyone who abused that openness to harass anyone else would quickly be removed from guild.)

It does not bother me at all (unless things turn towards blatant disrespect towards other people then I might be a bit more bothered).

Question Ten
Would you be uncomfortable avoiding foul language in guild? (Swearing has a way of taking over conversations, reducing everything to the lowest common denominator, and so we do not permit it in our /guild channel.)

I wouldn't be uncomfortable avoiding it in guild chat at all.

Question Eleven
What is your guild/server history over the last year? (Please list each guild and server where you've played and why you left each of these.)

Elysium (Horde - Ravenholdt) -> Besides being persuaded by a certain moonkin to swap servers and factions, Elysium was having some internal issues that was causing member loss and having issues raiding.
Moosen Vendor (Alliance - Lothar) -> Bridei's bank guild that I have been hiding in since joining Lothar to reduce creepy whispers.

I should be offended that I didn't make the list, considering, but...

Mael I have known for some time. although a VERY QUIET PERSON (bridei, beat him for that), he seems to be a very pleasant person, and one that fits in well. honestly, been wondering when he was going to get off his butt and post this.

skilled in game, someone for bridei to torment endlessly. win-win, imo.

Oh yeah I know Mael from a long time. I first met him in Dominican Republic, he was in a Jail in Himani. He was in cause he try to kidnap a parrot who was an endanger specie. Chuck Norris, Aquaman, Dave, Vil and me were there to rescue the last pink Murloc, but we rescue him as well cause we fell pity on him...*sigh* good times.... I APROVE!
